Ric met beautiful actress Paulina Prorizkova in the year 1984 while he was doing a music video for the song “Drive”. Then in the year 1988, he got divorced from Suzzane. Then he married Paulina Porizkova on 23rd August 1989 on Saint-Barthelemy island.

His third marriage somehow lasted for more than three decades than that of his last two marriages. But, even this marriage came to an end and Paulina announced their separation through her official Instagram account.

Talking about his children, Ocasek had six children, two sons each from his three marriages. His eldest son, Christopher was born in 1964 and he is a singer of the band Glamour Camp. Ocasek formed a rock band ”the Cars” in 1976. The band includes five members along with Ric such as singer Benjamin Orr, keyboardist Greg Hawkes, drummer David Robinson, and lead guitarist Elliot Easton. The Cars has given several hit songs together from 1978 to 1988. As of now, the band has sold more than 23 million copies of albums.

The group released its debut album ”The Cars” in 1978. Within just 139 weeks of the release of their debut album, the band sold over six million copies and it has appeared on the US Billboard 200.

The band released many hit albums like” My best friend’s Girl” and ”Just what I needed” which gained a lot of recognition and fame worldwide.
