Katie Ledecky Breaks Michael Phelps’ Solo Gold Medals

Katie won gold at the world championships during the competition of 800-meter freestyle. She completed the competition by touching teh finish line in 8:08.87 and became the first swimmer to win a single world event six times continuously. She won the game 4.44 seconds faster than Michael on July 29, 2023. During one of her interviews, she talked about her game saying:

“I’m just always trying to think of new ways to improve. I mean, I’ve already got everything turning in my head right now. I kind of wanted to be better than I was tonight, twirling her right hand beside her right ear, trying to stir up ideas. I’m pretty tough on myself, but I think I have found the balance of being tough on myself but also having that grace.”
