2012-13 lockout
In the 2012-13 season, the league again experienced a lock-out that lasted for five months(September 15, 2012, to January 6, 2013) after the disapproval of the union and players on a new collective bargaining agreement. Finally, on January 6, 2013, a deal was passed on a new collective bargaining agreement bringing an end to the lockout.
After the official end of the lockout, a 48-game regular-season schedule began on January 19, 2013. The season ended on April 28, 2013, without any inter-conference games.
