Donnie Iris Cancels Tour Due to His Illness

Iris was diagnosed with cancer just after celebrating his 80th birthday due to this he canceled his scheduled tour in Youngstown, on June 21, 2021. His doctor suggested Donnie for 6 weeks of rest and cancel his scheduled shows.

He celebrated his birthday with The Clarks and The Vindys at the UPMC Events Center in Moon. They performed in front of 400 fans and most of his audience dolled themself in 80 Years of Cool T-shirts. Iris canceled his tour to receive cancer treatment and his team announced it on Facebook:

“He’s got the best care, and everyone is very optimistic for his full return to health. He recently had surgery and his prognosis is good. But Donnie needs more time to heal. He won’t perform at The Foundation Amphitheater on June 21 with REO Speedwagon, though the concert will go on without him.”

Iris will perform at Blossom Music Center with Foreigner and Loverboy on July 24, 2023.
